DESCRIPTION:Faced with huge opposition\, Jehoshaphat put psalm-singers in t
 he front of his army. The singing of psalms is an apostolic way of using G
 od’s word to mature the church and strike down falsehood (Colossians 3).
  We sing psalms as a church full of the Spirit\, uniting our different voi
 ces under our Head and Worship-Leader Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5). A Psalm 
 Roar is an occasion to understand and sing the songs of Christ – with li
 fe\, energy\, volume and joy! \nUsing God’s own words in the Bible we w
 ill declare God’s praises\, sing of Jesus’ sufferings and victories\, 
 express our sorrows in lament and encourage one another to stand firm in f
 aith. Hymns and songs cannot match the divine-inspiration\, emotional brea
 dth and theological richness of the psalms. We will use a mix of musical s
 tyles\, including singing in harmony to represent the unity of men and wom
 en in Christ\, and the unity of the church. A Psalm Roar is very suitable 
 for non-musicians and will help everyone grow in the grace of singing. Tak
 e up the two-edged sword of the Spirit and come along to be fortified in w
 orship and warfare.
